He belongs to the Bovino Family, a small-to-medium mafia, but since he is the Thunder Guardian of Sawada Tsunayoshi (Tsuna) from the Vongola Family, he is effectively treated as part of the Vongola Family (Tsuna has pointed this out, but the Bovino boss was reportedly moved to tears with joy).
